What it looks like
A smoky grey globe with twisted ribs that spiral around the whole surface. The grey is neutral, so the pattern does the work.
Lit, the ribs catch the light and the glow looks like moving water. Unlit, the shade reads as a quiet dark sphere. It pairs well with brass, black metal and wood.
Process for this shape
A blower gathers smoky glass on the pipe, blows the globe and twists the ribs into the wall by hand. Because the twist is formed by hand, each piece differs slightly. We agree the acceptable range on the approved sample.
