For lighting brands, designers and lamp makers who need pendant shades in a shape or color the catalog does not offer. We blow and mold them in our own factory and drill the opening to your fitting.
What we make for pendant lights
A pendant shade hangs in plain view, so its shape, color and glass quality matter more than on a table lamp. We make globe, cylinder, faceted and ribbed pendant shades. Fully hand-blown shades come in 14 colors; molded shades are mainly transparent and white, with other colors added by plating or color spraying. Hand-blown shades go up to 60 cm long and 40 cm wide. Shades blown into a mold go up to 60 cm in diameter.
Choosing the process for a pendant
Fully hand-blown suits statement pendants and organic forms. No mold is needed, so a sample takes 7 to 10 days. Semi hand-blown, in molds, suits sets where the pieces must match closely. Compare the two on the hand-blown and semi hand-blown pages, or read how to choose between them.
Fitting and opening
Put the opening size for your lamp holder or canopy fitting on the drawing, and we drill the opening to it; we do not deal with the holder type. Read the fitting guide before you send the drawing, and check the size chart for the dimensions we need.
Order terms
The minimum order is 20 pieces per design. Prices are ex-works and quoted from your drawing, size and quantity. Payment is a down payment, with the balance before shipment. How long does a pendant shade sample take?
A fully hand-blown sample takes 7 to 10 days. If the shade needs a mold, the mold takes 7 to 10 days and the sample another 7 to 10 days.
