What it looks like
A round glass globe with bands of white and dark blue twisting around a clear blue body. The stripes run in a regular spiral from the top to the base.
Lit, the white stripes glow and the blue deepens between them. The pattern looks like a ribbon wrapped around a ball.
Process for this shape
Colored glass rods are laid onto the gather and twisted into a spiral as the globe is blown. The twist is formed by hand, so the spiral differs slightly from piece to piece. We agree the range on the approved sample.
