Globe glass lamp shades, made to your size
A round shade looks simple and is hard to get right. The opening must be true to your fitting, and a set must look like a set. That is what we aim for.
Hand-blown or molded globes
A hand-blown globe suits a statement piece where small differences are welcome. A globe blown into one of our molds suits sets that must match closely, because every shade comes from the same form. Molded shades go up to 60 cm in diameter. Hand-blown and semi hand-blown are compared on their own pages.
Glass and color
Fully hand-blown globes come in 14 colors, with swirls where the design calls for them; molded globes are mainly transparent and white, with other colors added by plating or color spraying. Clear glass shows the bulb, so choose lamp and shade together. The finishes and colors page lists the options.
Opening and fitting
We do not deal with the lamp holder type: put the inner diameter and position of the opening on the drawing, and we drill it. The fitting guide explains what to measure, and the size chart shows how we read your dimensions.
Lead times
A hand-blown sample takes 7 to 10 days. A new mold takes 7 to 10 days, then the sample takes 7 to 10 days. Production takes 15 to 20 days. See samples for how we agree the first piece.
Quick answers
What is the largest globe you can make?
Up to 60 cm in diameter in a mold. Hand-blown shades go up to 60 cm long and 40 cm wide.
Can I get a set that matches exactly?
Choose semi hand-blown. Shades formed in molds repeat the same shape within a total error of 1 to 2 mm (SIGA workshop estimate, 2026).
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is 20 pieces per design, for fully hand-blown and semi hand-blown shades alike. It applies to each design separately.
