What it looks like
A smooth dome of clear glass with rows of fine blue lines pulled into feather-like waves. The pattern repeats in bands from the top to the open rim.
Lit, the blue waves glow against the clear glass and the pattern shows from the inside as well as the outside.
Process for this shape
Blue glass threads are laid on the clear body and pulled into waves by hand before the shade is shaped. The waves differ from piece to piece. We agree the acceptable range on the approved sample.
