It is a simple, honest shape. Clear glass keeps the bulb visible, so the lamp and the shade work as one design.
Process for this shape
The glass is blown into a mold, so the curve and the rim repeat across the order. Diameter and height hold a total error of 1 to 2 mm (SIGA workshop estimate, 2026). This is the shape to choose for a long row of pendants that must match. Fully hand-blown versions will vary slightly.

Is a mold needed for this shape?
Yes, unless the mold already exists. A new mold takes 7 to 10 days.
Will every dome be identical?
Shades blown in the same mold match closely. Tiny differences in glass thickness are normal.
Can I order it in color?
Yes. Color is added after forming, by plating or color spraying. Send a Pantone or RAL code or a reference and we match it on the sample.
